I have been doing some research on courses available for providers to take on-line to further their education in the child care field. The state of South Dakota does allow online accredation for the following sites!

Child Care Lounge

Anyone, anywhere is welcome to enroll in one of our online child care classes. If your state does have a training approval process, that information is detailed below. Your state may not specifically approve trainings toward the required hours of professional development that you need each year. If so, you may use these classes! Please note that you may also use these class hours towards 120 hours needed for the CDA certificate.

Classes are approved by South Dakota Pathways to Professional Development.

Upon completion of a class, we will send you a certificate reflecting the class title, student name, hours of training, and date of completion.

ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI), a distance training institution, is dedicated to providing online training to meet the continuing education requirements of the child care industry. CCEI offers over 100 online professional development courses, plus online certificate course of study programs, such as the Child Development Associate (CDA). CCEI is approved by the International Association for Continuing Education Training (IACET) to award IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
